I love music (I am a DJ after all). I love photography as well, so I thought why not try and combine the two using the lyrics from a song (that I like) and then present my own interpretation on those lyrics as a photo. These interpretations may or may not coincide with the artists intentions. Then again it is my interpretation. Music moves us!

May Is National Bike Month

In case you didn’t know…It’s National Bike Month. With the economies of the world tighter than ever and people becoming more aware of their environmental impact. People are turning more and more to bicycles for not only recreation, but as a means of transportation. What this mean is more and more people are on the roads with their bikes. Whether you ride a bike or not it is your obligation to know the laws in your area and to operate your vehicle in a safe manor (bike or motor vehicle). It’s not that hard for the two ends of the spectrum to meet in the middle and coexist. Sharing the road is a good way to start. Remember we all have a right to be on the road. People for Bikes did a great job expressing these same points in a recent video campaign. Check it out!

Spring Fly Fishing

Spring is in full swing now and the striped bass and bluefish should be moving in, if their not already here. I was able to snap off this photo as I was getting some of my fly gear ready for the season.

A lot of my friends have already gotten out for at least one fishing trip this season. This has not only made me antsy but has also motivated me to get it together. I’m ready to wet my line!

I have included my three favorite saltwater flies below in case anyone way curious about what I use:

What Does Critical Mass, Dwayne Wade, LeBron James Have In Common?

In one word…BIKES! For years now I have heard the stories about Wade and James riding their bikes around Miami. I must say, whenever I’m in town I’m always on the lookout for them cruising the streets. How cool right? Even if your not a Heat, Wade, or James fan you have to admit this is very refreshing to see celebrities taking to the streets under pedal power. Who am I to say why they do it but, I can think of a few reasons they might:

They are athletes. Why not put in the extra work
They are athletes LOL. Athletes like the activity…it’s fun
May be the green factor? Both the $$$ (even though they don’t need to save the bucks) & it’s healthy for you and the planet

Critical Mass in Miami is held the last Friday of every month where everyone gets together in mass and takes to the streets for a cruise around the city. I have always wanted to partake in one of these rides but, I never seem to be in town when they take place. One of these days I’ll make it. The coolest part of all this is the fact that both Wade and James recently showed up unannounced to one of the Critical mass rides. This in my opinions shows commitment to not only biking in general but, also their commitment to make their community a better place. That makes them ok in my book. How about yours?
